1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing the MeshWX Pro website, using the web flasher, installing MeshWX Pro firmware, or using related MeshWX materials, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use MeshWX Pro.
2. What MeshWX provides
MeshWX Pro is available as dedicated Firmware and as a host-based App. Both versions can monitor supported public weather or emergency alert sources and broadcast selected information over compatible Meshtastic or MeshCore networks.
MeshWX Pro is provided without a user account or subscription and is intended to operate primarily on hardware you control.
3. Supplemental warning tool only
MeshWX is not a government warning service, public-safety dispatch system, certified alerting platform, life-safety system, or replacement for official warning channels. Internet access, upstream data sources, hardware, firmware, radio propagation, mesh configuration, interference, power, and other conditions can delay or prevent delivery.
Always maintain access to official warning sources appropriate for your location, such as government alert services, weather radio, emergency alerts, local authorities, sirens, or equivalent systems.
4. No guarantee of alert delivery or accuracy
BrokenSignal does not guarantee that an alert will be received, processed, shortened, transmitted, repeated, displayed, or delivered correctly or on time. We also do not guarantee that third-party alert data will be complete, accurate, current, or continuously available.
5. Beta and experimental software
MeshWX Pro may include beta or experimental firmware. Flashing firmware and operating radio hardware carries risk, including device malfunction, loss of configuration, incompatibility, or a device becoming temporarily or permanently unusable. You accept those risks when you choose to install or use the software.
6. Your responsibilities
- Use MeshWX only with hardware and radio services you are legally permitted to operate.
- Comply with radio, spectrum, privacy, emergency-communications, and other laws that apply in your country or region.
- Protect your Wi-Fi, mesh, device, and local computer credentials.
- Test your installation before relying on it for supplemental awareness.
- Maintain other official methods of receiving emergency information.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use MeshWX to intentionally interfere with networks, impersonate an official authority, distribute knowingly false emergency information, bypass access controls, violate third-party rights, or engage in unlawful radio operation.
8. Third-party data and services
MeshWX may depend on alert feeds, manufacturers, operating systems, browsers, Meshtastic, MeshCore, Internet providers, or other third parties. Those services are outside BrokenSignal's control and may change, fail, restrict access, or discontinue functionality without notice.
9. MeshWX Pro App
MeshWX Pro App is the host-based version of MeshWX Pro for Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, and Docker. It requires a separate host computer and supports compatible Meshtastic and MeshCore radios.
10. Intellectual property
Except for material owned by third parties, MeshWX Pro software, branding, website content, graphics, and documentation are owned by BrokenSignal or used with permission. These Terms do not transfer ownership of those materials.
11. Trademarks and affiliations
MeshWX Pro Firmware and MeshWX Pro App are not affiliated with or endorsed by Meshtastic LLC or the MeshCore project. Meshtastic® is a registered trademark of Meshtastic LLC. Other names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
12. No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MeshWX Pro and related materials are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, reliability, or accuracy.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BrokenSignal will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of use, equipment damage, missed alerts, delayed alerts, service interruption, lost profits, or losses arising from reliance on MeshWX.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, and nothing in these Terms waives mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under the laws of the European Union, Canada, Australia, Israel, or another jurisdiction.
Australian users: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.
14. Availability, updates, and discontinuation
BrokenSignal may update, change, suspend, or discontinue MeshWX Pro, supported hardware, alert-source integrations, the web flasher, or website features. We may also update firmware when needed for compatibility, security, reliability, or legal compliance.
15. Privacy
Your use of MeshWX is also subject to the Privacy Policy. MeshWX is designed so configuration and operational settings remain local to your own device or host rather than being stored in a BrokenSignal user account or cloud database.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory laws in your country or province of residence apply and cannot be waived by contract.
17. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms when MeshWX features, legal requirements, or operating practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when revised Terms are published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
