Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to the MeshWX Pro website, web flasher, MeshWX Pro Firmware, and MeshWX Pro App software operated or published by BrokenSignal. It explains what information BrokenSignal does and does not receive when you use MeshWX.

2. Information we do not collect

MeshWX does not require an account and BrokenSignal does not collect or maintain a user database for MeshWX. We do not intentionally collect or store:

• Your name, postal address, phone number, or account profile.
• Your Wi-Fi network name or Wi-Fi password.
• Meshtastic or MeshCore credentials, keys, channels, or private configuration.
• Your selected countries, regions, counties, zones, or alert preferences.
• Your device serial data, device logs, or message history.
• Precise location data from your MeshWX device.
• Advertising identifiers or behavioral profiles.

3. Local device and browser storage

MeshWX may save settings on the device, computer, browser, or host you control so the software can continue operating after setup. Those locally stored settings are not copied to or stored by BrokenSignal.

The MeshWX Pro web flasher communicates with a supported device through your browser. Device flashing and configuration take place locally between your browser and connected hardware. BrokenSignal does not receive the contents of your device configuration through that process.

4. Internet requests made by MeshWX

MeshWX connects to public weather or emergency alert sources selected by the software. Those third-party services may receive ordinary network information needed to answer a request, such as the public IP address used to connect, request time, and standard HTTP request information. BrokenSignal does not receive or control information logged independently by those services.

5. Website hosting and technical delivery

Like any website, meshwxpro.com must be delivered across the Internet. Hosting, content-delivery, DNS, or network providers may temporarily process technical information such as an IP address to route traffic, prevent abuse, or maintain security. BrokenSignal does not use this technical information to build profiles, track users across websites, or sell personal information.

6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

MeshWX Pro does not intentionally use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or behavioral advertising. We do not sell or rent personal information.

If a future feature requires analytics, telemetry, cookies, accounts, or another form of personal-data processing, this policy will be updated before that processing is introduced and any consent required by applicable law will be obtained.

7. Affiliate and third-party links

The MeshWX Pro website may contain links to hardware retailers, manufacturers, download providers, or other third-party services. Some retailer links may be affiliate links. If you follow one of those links, the destination website or affiliate network may collect information under its own privacy policy. Their practices are separate from MeshWX device operation and are not controlled by BrokenSignal.

8. European Union and EEA users

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), individuals have rights relating to personal data that a controller processes, including rights of information, access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability where applicable.

Because BrokenSignal does not receive or maintain MeshWX user configuration or account data, there normally is no MeshWX user dataset held by BrokenSignal to access, correct, erase, restrict, or export. Because BrokenSignal does not maintain a MeshWX user account database or receive MeshWX device configuration data, there normally is no MeshWX user dataset held by BrokenSignal.

If BrokenSignal ever begins processing personal data for a new MeshWX feature, the applicable purpose, legal basis, data categories, recipients, retention period, and international-transfer information will be disclosed as required before or when that processing begins.

9. Canadian users

BrokenSignal follows the same data-minimization approach for users in Canada. MeshWX does not require a user account and BrokenSignal does not intentionally collect or retain MeshWX configuration data. If Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA or an applicable provincial privacy law, applies to personal information under BrokenSignal's control, those rights remain subject to applicable law.

10. Australian users

MeshWX does not require a user account and BrokenSignal does not intentionally collect or retain personal information through MeshWX Pro or MeshWX Pro App. Device configuration, Wi-Fi credentials, mesh credentials, selected locations, and alert settings remain on the user's own device or host.

If the Australian Privacy Act 1988 or the Australian Privacy Principles apply to information under BrokenSignal's control, any rights and obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

11. Israeli users

MeshWX does not require a user account and BrokenSignal does not intentionally collect or retain personal information through MeshWX Pro or MeshWX Pro App. Device configuration, Wi-Fi credentials, mesh credentials, selected locations, and alert settings remain on the user's own device or host.

If the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, applies to information processed in connection with the MeshWX Pro website or software, any rights and obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

12. Children

MeshWX is not designed to collect personal information from children. Because MeshWX does not operate user accounts or collect user profile information, BrokenSignal does not knowingly maintain personal information about children through MeshWX.

13. Security

Keeping data local reduces the amount of user information that can be exposed through a centralized MeshWX service. You are responsible for protecting your own device, host computer, Wi-Fi network, mesh credentials, and locally stored settings.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when MeshWX features, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
